Thanks for joining us!
The goal of this project was to replace a hi-tech multimedia tool with a low-tech tool that could easily be made at home. Our group decided to replace an expensive, hi-tech projector with a retro-scope, which is almost like a flip-book animation, all made with inexpensive materials.
Retro-scopes uses a “persistence of vision” to give an illusion of an image moving (as you can see).

We chose a flip-book animation machine for our assignment as it is an interactive, creative, and effective method when looking at the different options for multimedia tools. The theme of the flip-book is Homer Simpson, our favourite character from “The Simpsons”. The retro-scope was also an inexpensive and portable tool, as it is equally entertaining.
We chose to embed a comical scene into the retro-scope as young and old audiences could both relate to this option.
